     To the Gregg family, hunting is just fun, but the girl who lives next door is worried about that. One day, she notices that she has a special power on her finger. She cast a spell on the family and they become ducks because she wants to prevent them from killing animals. The duck family can't hunt and live as usual, so they feel that all lives are equal and important. In the end, the spell is lifted and the family try to protect the environment.
   
     There are many unique characters in this book. I think you can understand this relationships easily. I recommend you to read this book.

Why didn't like Duncan like Nick? (p.6)

     Cathy is going to the Harvey family to get a new job. She is going to look after the children. However, there is a big problem in the family. The children's mother died a year ago and her death was so strange. Her husband doesn't want to tell Cathy the accident because he had a complicated thought for his wife. Then, Cathy tries to know him and the accidents. As she passes time with his family, she learns to think about being his wife.

     This book is the Oxford bookworms series. Every time I read this series, I can learn the characters' thought and expressions. I'm sure we can expand our vocabulary.

BR 14: Mr Bean

Yes, Mr Bean was a friend now. (p.35)

     Mr Bean is a lay person in the arts field, but there is a wrong negotiation and he has to play a role of a famous museum boss. He goes to America and every time he makes mistakes, he tries to change it into good things. People call him an ugly man or a stupid man, but he doesn't forget to smile and keep good relationships. This is why I chose this book. He also has been thanking a family who takes care of him. I think people have personal traits and diversities. This book shows us how we should make other people happier and face own challenges.


     This book is Penguin Readers series. I think this series has a lot of categories. You can enjoy reading both fiction stories and nonfiction ones.

BR 13: Jack and the Westbourne fair

Jack was in the headmaster's office for the second time that day. and this time as definitely worse. (p.25)

     Jack is called a problem child. He doesn't do his homework, take classes seriously, and often spray graffiti on walls because he doesn't like people around him. That's why I chose this book. These type of students may think they want other people to acknowledge their personality. In Jack's case, he helps a child who is lost in an amusement park and his parents discover his good point. I think there is few opportunities to think about these students in schools in Japan, so I want teachers to give students tips, how to face the problem.


     This book is Helbling Readers series. This series is focused on students and schools, so I recommend you to read this book if you want to be teachers.

BR 12: Grace and the double life

And Grace felt like a guilty criminal. (p.16)

     This book's main character is Grace. She is hardworking girl because her mother tells her to do correctly and successfully. She has to be ideal girl for her mother and is worn out. This is why I chose this book. I can understand her feelings. I think she is still a teenager, so she must want to go out with guys and friends freely. In my situation, I had tried to be a perfect person for my parents, but I gave up. I changed my thought. I tried to do what I want to do, but I have to do my best. Now that I still keep this doing. So, I want to give her some advice. That is "You should convince your parents that you can do what you really want to do by yourself.


     This book is Helbling Readers series. I'm sure that you can enjoy reading because this set is one school and every student is main characters. I recommend you to read if you want to know the whole world.

BR 11: Superbird

Every night the yellow-haired person put its mouth on my face and then went away. (p.16)

     Do you believe in aliens being on the other planets or do you believe an other world? Most books about those thing are written by our point of view. However, in this story, a alien who lives in Superbird is a main character. I'm so interested in it. She is on the radio and talking about journey for the earth. During the journey, she can get along with human and their race tries to keep good relationship with us. I think this situation can occur in the future if there is really an another planet.

   
     This book is Cambridge English Readers series. This series makes you imagine. If you want to broaden your thinking, I recommend you to read this book.

BR 10: Rickey and the American girl

Ricky had a great memory for facts, he was famous for his memory. (p.24)


     I usually like to read nonfiction stories, but this book was interesting. I think everyone experiences the feelings of the main character, Ricky who is a bit of genius at school and he like to think about math and computers. One day, he comes across an American girl and he falls in love. He tries to be liked by her, but he is not good at speaking to girls, so he feels some dilemma. It is a little heartbreaking, but you can understand his state and environment. I want you to think about what to do to get along with her. Finally, he finds true love and make more friends. It is a happy ending.


     This book is Helbling Readers series. In this book, the character's feelings are expressed clearly. I want you to read if you want to know how to make friends and keep relationships.
