Nancy starts working in an asylum center and she comes across a man, George. He is so caring that she can't see him as a just asylum seeker. After he leaves the center, she keeps in tough with him because she wants to support his life. As time passes, she realizes that she has fell in love with him, but she has a husband, Tom. Tom is inclined to be egocentric about her, so she loves George more than Tom. She decides to go away from Tom and starts new life with George. Unfortunately, there is an incident which could break the relationship between them. Can they get over this difficulties? I've read this book before, so I paid attention to Tom. I thought those who have enough asset, authorized job and nice wife are said to become selfish.  Moreover, they don't notice that other people feel uncomfortable. Second, Tom does illegal things to regain Nancy. If he wants her, he should consider her happiness...

This is Cambridge English Readers series. If you have read this book two times, you could find out the characters' situations in detail.

Rain man

“Funny Rain Man.” (p.27)

「rain man penguin」の画像検索結果     I like this book because I can change my point of view about disabled people. Charlie knew that his father passed away, and he could get his asset. However, his father’s money is supposed to be sent to someone who is stranger. Charlie is worried about his money and life, so he decides to get all the money. He meets the stranger, Raymond who is autistic. He kidnapped the man and realized his ability and what Raymond is… He is Charlie’s brother. I want you to read the following story. The time in Rain man is different from now. Few people recognize the autistic people, so they looked down those people. Therefore, when the Rain man was released in the world, people were shocked by the fact and rethought about them.

This is Penguin Readers series. The range of this series has some movies. The problem in that time we can see in this story is critical because of the lack of knowledge. Thus, we can see that the fraternity of Charlie and Raymond is strong all the time.

The New Zealand file

Longstaffe has some important information and we need to make sure he, and the information, is safe. (p.10)

「the new zealand file」の画像検索結果     Munro is working as a spy like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. He is given a critical mission which is to protect Longstaffe and some information. He is always rushing around on his mission in New Zealand. However, Longstaffe is killed by a man. Munro feels as if he missed some information because only Longstaffe knew what the information means. He starts seeking another hints for the information, being involved in some accidents. I like action movies which we can't guess the ending easily, but this book has a few more complicated problem. First, we lose the key man at the beginning of the chapters. Second, the author doesn't explain the information exactly. Therefore, readers don't know how much important the information it is. Third, Munro has few side since he is a spy. Mostly, a spy doesn't have the friends, so if you want to read this book smoothly, you should not think about his side or friend.

This is Cambridge English Readers series. This book has few pictures and conversations, so we have to image the situation with the narration. Moreover, the main character goes to everywhere in New Zealand, so it's a bit difficult to do that as intended.

Six ghost stories

‘Dear God!’ I cried. ‘Shut him out!’ (p.15)

「six ghost stories penguin readers」の画像検索結果     This book has six ghost stories, but I’ll show you one of them. Henry and Joan decide to live in Samways where there is a bigger garden, full of fruits and flowers. Everything they have makes them happier, but a strange accident happens… At one night, something or someone makes a little noise, which wakes them up. They reach the window from which they can see their beautiful garden. Surprisingly, an old man is knocking the window. They are too scared to call neighbors, but at the same time they feel sorry for him. He seems to ask for their help rather than bother them… I want to talk about the whole story, but I can’t, so why don’t you read the following story?

This is Penguin Readers series. I like this series because it has ups and downs story especially biographies. I do like England royal family history, so I want you to read Princess Diana. The tips for her history are different from books, but we can imagine her figure from them. I think it’s important for us to read one topic with several tools.

Superbird

The President is a good man. He said he still wanted to be our friends. (p.44)

「superbird cambridge」の画像検索結果     Mary is an astronaut on Superbird. It crashes on a strange planet. She has a great time with people who is speaking English, keeping dogs and using guns there. After she spends days with them, she is back to her planet and talks about her experience on a radio show. One year later, she goes to the planet again and faces a terrible situation. Can you guess who she is and where she goes. I want you to know this following thing after reading. When I started reading this book, I misunderstood the characters, which is the author's intention. However, this is a true joy while reading. This book consists of two parts. In the first one, I want you to feel a little strange because you can find out the answer for your question.

This is Cambridge English Readers series. I've not read SF stories a lot, so this book brought me a new point of view and fun. When we are in books' world, there are some unpredictable things... I want you to enjoy the misunderstanding.

The wave

‘I have something to tell you about the Wave,’ Mr. Ross told his history students the next day. (p.34)

「the wave penguin readers」の画像検索結果     Mr. Ross is a history teacher at a high school. Although he wants his students to be interested in his class, they usually don’t study it at all. He thinks a discipline makes them learn something harder and organizes the Wave. He makes some rules for the Wave members.  They must say his name and answer quickly in the class. They always have the Wave’s mark and follows their teacher’s words. Some students are afraid of the team because it is like the Nazis. If they want to be out of it, they can never get along with the other students. Mr. Ross is also worried that his students are misunderstanding the Wave’s purpose and he is starting thinking about a solution. I think his way of teaching students is the just mind control. Students tend to think the Wave is greater than the other students and their teacher is the authorized leader. Sometime disciplines are needed for teams, but they are too dangerous.

This is Penguin Readers series. When I always choose books, I pay attention to the outlines, but I think this book’s cover is a little scary and I wanted to know the reason. Many books are interesting and I feel comfortable after reading in this series. However, you can feel a little strange after finishing the book.
