SLA is one of the foreign language learning fields. It sheds light on several factors such as the learning process, pedagogy, learner, and four skills. The most incredible thing I learned today is it is better to look at than to write when memorizing new vocabulary! However, at junior high or high school, we were recommended to just write and connect with Japanese 😞💦 In my personal experience, to a periodical extent, the old-fashion method can be effective. The entrance exam for university or immediate test are good examples. If we persuade to exquisite the true English skills, there must be a lot of things to take care of. I hope the students who take this class and want to become a teacher will apply more theoretical method to English education.
When I get a new word from a material, I google the image and other meanings to connect it with what I've already caught. Although I've made some attempts, it is the best for me now. Does anyone have more interesting ways?
