     Every one must have their own complex regarding their looks or behaviors. Susie, a protagonist in this book has freckles, and she hates them all the time. Because of it, she isn't confident and good at talking with guys. In contrast, Donna, her friend has pretty hair and beautiful blue eyes and she is popular among classmates. In a sense, Donna looks down upon Susie and feels comfortable. One day,  a nice boy shows up and Donna tries to appeal to him, but he isn't interested in her because he loves Susie!! I think not every guy always like beautiful girls and some complexes are liked by them.

     This book is Penguin readers series. I think in this series, many students feels the same idea with the characters, so it's easy to understand the plot and system.
